Private Markets Need Interoperability, Not Another Investor Portal

Every manager portal is a dead end. Wealth platforms, administrators and investors need the same product facts, not six logins.

The portal problem

A well-designed investor portal is still a cul-de-sac if the adviser, the administrator and the manager cannot share state. Eligibility completed in one place is repeated in the next. A notice posted in a data room never reaches the reporting pack.

Private-market distribution breaks on this repetition. The allocator’s experience is only as good as the worst onboarding in the chain.

Share the record, not the brand

Interoperability does not mean one consumer brand. A wealth platform should be able to present alternatives inside its own experience, reading eligibility, documents, liquidity dates and valuations from a common operating layer.

White-label access, an adviser workflow and an API are the same idea at three depths. The product facts stay stable. The interface can change.

One operating record. Many front doors.

The boundary that should stay

Not every document should be public, and not every investor should see every vault. Interoperability includes permissions. A shared record with role-based access is the opposite of an open forum.

AltVaults Access is designed around that boundary: discovery for eligible users, diligence materials under permission, and a subscription path that can be refused.
